Sony Russia to Officially Launch Xperia SP and Xperia L on March 18
Moscow: Sony Russia is going to announce two dual core handsets for Russian market. The two handsets are Xperia SP and Sony Xperia L. Sony is holding a press conference to announce the two handsets on 18th March, 2013. It has become a habit of many mobile manufacturers to hold special events to unveil their handsets.
It was informed since many days that Sony will be launching Xperia SP and Xperia L in Russian markets by the end of this week. The two handsets were spotted online a week ago with the European online retailers. However, Sony has not officially confirmed the reason for the press meet. It is not clarified whether the company will unveil the two handsets or not.
Sony is focusing on high end android device Xperia Z in 2013. The company informed that Xperia Z is received well by the consumers. Since it is not intelligent to rely on only one handset to hold number three position in the smartphone market in the world, the company is expected to release low or mid range Android smartphones soon. As per the rumors going round, it can be said that the two dual core handsets Xperia SP and Xperia L will be available in the market in the month of May itself.
It is not clear whether Indian markets will get Xperia SP and Xperia L in future. Sony announced launching of Xperia Z in India immediately after it was launched and it may do the same for the upcoming devices also. Sony is presently considering India as one of the important markets for them.
Sony Xperia SP and Xperia L have already been listed by many retailers online but Sony has not officially announced the devices. Xperia SP is a 4.55 inch display device and the pixel resolution is 720 p. It has a dual core 1.7 GHz S4 processor. The device is provided with 1 GB or RAM. It comes equipped with an 8 megapixel camera.
Xperia L is another smartphone that comes with a 4.3 inches display with 854 x 480 pixel resolution. It will be powered by 1 GHz CPU and 1 GB of RAM. The user can get 8 GB of internal memory with this device. There is an 8 megapixel camera and the battery under the hood is 1700 mAh battery.
