Ricky Kej and Neela Vaswani Bring Grammy Awards for India

09.02.2015: Most prestigious music award Grammy is won by two Indians. Music Director Ricky Kej of Bangalore won the 57th Grammy awards for his album ‘Winds of Samsara’. He won this award in New Age category. Another Indian Neela Vaswani also won the Grammy award for her documentary ‘I am Malala: How one girl stood up for education and changed the world’. Neela won This award in Children’s Album category.

Naveen Chopra is new Chief Operating Officer of Vodafone

9.2.2015: Vodafone appointed Naveen Chopra as the chief executive officer and will succeed Mr. Sunil Sood. Naveen Chopra is the director of Vodafone Business Services now and will take up the new position from April 1, 2015.

Telecom Users in India are 97 Crores

9.2.2015: Number of telecom users in India is 97 crores which is a record level. This is revealed by TRAI. Every 78 persons in 100 are having tele connections and by the end of December, 2014. Total users are 94.39 crores. Bharati Airtel has 22 crore mobile users and is in the first place. Vodafone, Idea, Reliance Communications and BSNL are following Airtel in the next places.

Chennai Mahila Bank to open 30 New Branches in March

9.2.2015: Chennai Mahila Bank is going to expand its services. Bank chairman and MD Usha Ananta Subrahmanyam revealed that they are going to open another 35 branches nationwide in the coming month. This will increase the total number of branches to 80. Chennai Mahila Bank is also going to introduce mobile app services soon.
