Mohammed Nasheed, Formed Maldivian President Arrested

22.2.2015: Former president of Maldives, Mohammed Nasheed was arrested on terrorism charges. He was the first leader to be elected democratically in the country. The arrest was related to detaining a criminal court judge Abdullah Mohammad in 2012.

Indian Priest Freed y Afghani Abductors after Eight Months

22.2.2015: Alexis Prem Kumar, the Christian priest who was abducted by Afghani unidentified gunmen in 2014 is freed after eight months. He was abducted from Sohadat village when he was visiting the JRS supported school for returnee refugees.

Nitish Kumar Took Oath as 24th CM of Bihar

22.1.2015: Nitish Kumar sworn-in as 24th chief minister of Bihar. This is his fourth term as Chief Minister. In an event at Raj Bhavan in Patna, Governor Kesarinath Tripathi administered him the oath of office and secrecy. Along with him 22 ministers also took oath. No BJP leader was present at the event. Prime Minister Modi congratulated CM Nitish.

Parliament Budget 2015-16 Session to Begin Today (23rd February)

22.1.2015: 16th Parliament budget session is going to commence from 23rd February. Opposition parties are getting ready with weapons like failure of BJP in Delhi elections, corporate spying and so on. Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan requested the floor leaders of all opposition parties to cooperate with her to hold the session. The session begins with President Pranab Mukherjee’s speech in Parliament Central Hall.

India Crushed South Africa in World Cup 2015 League Match

22.1.2015: Defending champion India defeated South Africa in a league match in World Cup tourney. This is the first ever win for Team India over South Africa in world cups. India defeated South Africa by 130 runs. India scored 307 runs in 50 overs and South Africa was all out for 177 runs in 40.2 overs.

Ranchi Rays wins the 3rd Edition of Hockey India League

22.1.2015: Ranchi Rays team defeated Punjab Warriors 3-2 to win the third edition of Hockey India League that ended on February 22. The match was held at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in Delhi. Ranchi Rays are a new team but the members are almost the same which were there in Ranchi Rhinos. Ranchi Rhinos won the tourney in 2013.

MCX and ICFAI Foundation Agreement

22.2.2015: Multi commodity exchange of India Limited and ICFAI foundation for higher education signed an agreement for skill development. MCX joint managing director PK Singhal said that this partnership will help to train students to become professional in commodity markets.
