Apart from Tizen OS based smartphone, Samsung is going to launch another smartphone in India. Though officially not announced, Galaxy Core Prime is going to be released in the country soon. Mahesh Telecom revealed this and said it will be offered with a price tag of Rs. 9,599.

Mumbai: This is not the first time Samsung Galaxy Core Prime was spotted in India online. Flipkart listed the device in October but the listing was later removed. The online retailer mentioned the price of the device as Rs. 8,499. Samsung’s Facebook page listed the specifications of the handset.

Samsung Galaxy Core Prime comes with 4.5 inch display and the resolution is 480 x 800 pixels. It is powered by 1.2 GHz quad core processor and is coupled with 1 GB RAM. It has 8 GB internal storage and memory can be expanded up to 64 GB via micro SD. It has 5 megapixel camera at rear and 2 megapixel camera at front. Connectivity features include WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G. It has 2000 mAh battery under the hood. The device will be offered in white color.

Samsung launched Galaxy Core smartphone in 2014 and later expanded the series by adding Core Advance, Core Plus and Core 2. All these were also launched in India. The latest to join the league is Core Prime. However, there is no information about when the handset will be officially launched in the country.
