Ajay Devgn Expecting Second Hit This Year
Ajay Devgn already completed the shooting of Action Jackson and in view of the positive response received for the promos, the movie is slated to be another success for Ajay this year.
Mumbai: Action hero Ajay Devgn shows his commitment towards his films. He has been recognised as one of the action heroes of Bollywood. Most of his movies are action oriented.
In the recent past, 2012 gave him two hits ‘Son of Sardar’ & ‘Bol Bachhan’. The former is a remake of successful movie ‘Maryada Ramanna’ from south and is having beautiful Sonakshi Sinha as female lead. Bol Bachhan is all-out comedy entertainer wherein Ajay shared the screen with Abhishek as another hero. This movie had two heroines Asin & Prachi Desai.
In 2013 he enjoyed reasonable success for his Himmatwala. This movie is a remake of 1980’s super hit movie of Jeetendra-Sridevi starrer of the same name. The remake had Tamanna Bhatia replaying Sridevi role and the movie recorded reasonable success at the box office.
Current year 2014 already gave a super hit to Ajay Devgn for his ‘Singham Returns’. This movie came from super hit director Rohit Shetty and had pack of senior artistes like Kareena Kapoor (heroine) and Anupam Kher, Dayanand Shetty, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sharat Saxena, Sonalee Kulkarni etc., in other important and supporting roles. This movie once again is a remake of super hit Tamil movie ‘Singham 2’ starring Surya, Anushka Shetty and Hansika (director Hari handled the megaphone).
For the current project Action Jackson, Ajay is once again teaming up with beautiful Sonakshi Sinha. This time choreographer turned director Prabhu Deva will be handling the megaphone. Prabhu Deva is a multi-talented personality from south. He is a choreographer, actor, director in regional languages like Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and already established his position in Bollywood for his movies like Rowdy Rathore, Ramayya Vastavayya, R…Rajkumar which received good response at the box office.
For Rowdy Rathore Prabhu directed action hero Akshay Kumar & Sonakshi Sinha and it is a remake of Telugu super hit movie Vikramarkudu. For his Ramayya Vastavayya, Prabhu Deva handled Girish Kumar & Shruti Hassan. This movie again is a remake of Telugu super hit movie ‘Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana’ starring Siddharth & Trisha. Prabhu handled Shahid Kapoor & Sonakshi Sinha for his third venture R… Rajkumar. This movie also received good response and increased his working comfort with Sonakshi.
The present movie AJ had good promos and the promos are well accepted at the box office. To entertain the audience, the movie is scheduled for world-wide release on 5th December 2014.
