iPhone 6 Vs iPhone 5S: iPhone 6 has Improved Camera and Hardware
The new iPhone6 is finally out in the markets after a long wait. However for most apple fans out there, the question that arises is if iPhone6 really worth the price compared to the iPhone5s.
Mumbai: iPhone6 is a curved aluminum, gold or light/dark silver phone which is 6.8 mm thick compared to that of the iPhone5s which is 7.6mm thick and also available in aluminum, gold and light/dark silver. Apple has made some pretty brave moves including changing the shape of the phone. The sharp edges of the iPhone5s are now replaced by curvier edges and a slimmer model.
The screen of the iPhone6 is bigger than that of the iPhone5s and the power button has been moved to the top from the side. Both iPhone5s and iPhone6 have aluminum backs and toughened glass front. iPhone6 has an additional feature called NFC which allows you to make wireless payments using Apple Pay. The iPhone5s does not have the NFC feature.
iPhone6 has a 4.7-inch 1334 x 750 screen with a Retina HD LCD that comes with an Ion strengthened glass and improvised polariser. The iPhone5s has a 4-inch 1136 x 640 screen with IPS LCD.As Apple has used in iPhones for years, both phones have an IPS LCD screens.
Both the phones have an 8 Megapixel camera and an f/2.2 lens. The sensor pixels in both phones is 1.5 microns a piece in size. However the iPhone 6 has a new feature called the phase detection autofocus. This is used to provide faster focusing and is used in many android phones.
iPhone 6 introduces a new generation of processor called the Apple A8. The system design has been changed from 28nm in iPhone 5s to 20nm in iPhone 6. These tiny transistors help the CPU run more efficiently. The A8 gives out 20% more CPU power and 50% more GPU power than the 5s.
iPhone 6 offers 11 hours browsing and 11 hours video browsing to the battery life as compared to the 10 hours of browsing in the iPhone 5s. This is not a significant change as compared to other android phones.
Though iPhones have only been offering 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB storage versions, this year the iPhone 6 offers a 128GB option. The iPhone 5s doesn’t offer a 128 GB option. But this year the iPhone 6 does not come out with a 32GB option. The price for iPhone 6 in Amazon in $769.99 while the iPhone 5s price remains $499.99. Apple has improved the camera hardware and the display screen.
