BJP ABLE TO CONVINCE VOTERS IN MAHARASHTRA & HARYANA

Bharatiya Janata Party: Quick To Respond To Situation

The results that are just coming in amply display the timely reaction of the BJP.

Mumbai: The overwhelming success enjoyed by Bharatiya Janata Party is likely to repeat in the fresh assembly elections for the states of Maharashtra & Haryana.

These two states hitherto under congress ruling are going to have BJP government in place (as per the indications about the wins & leads). Though the counting is still under process, the latest reports indicate that BJP is sure to form government in both these states (which worked under congress government till now).

These two states are having some peculiarities. While Maharashtra is one of the biggest states in our country, the state continuously was under alliance both at ruling and opposition level. While the ruling alliance has congress & NCP the opposition alliance has partnership of BJP & Shivsena. The 2 decades alliance between both these camps broke for this election. As such the fight increased from ‘face to face’ to ‘multi-angled’. In the multiangled fight BJP is likely to win around 120 seats on its own. The Shiv Sena is expected to win 60 seats leaving 82 seats for congress & 62 for NCP. The fraction of Shiv Sena i.e, MNS is likely to limit itself for just 3 seats in the MH assembly of a total strength of 288 seats where strength of 145 MLA is required to form the government.

Before the elections, BJP wanted to continue alliance with Shiv Sena and reasonably wanted to contest in around 150 seats. The Shiv Sena over-estimated its power and rejected the proposal forcing the alliance to break.

Now the results are indicative that the BJP did project realistic projections about its power in the state. Most likely, BJP will be forming the government taking help from other parties (Shiv Sena can definitely be one of the option) as indicated by both the parties.

Coming to Haryana, the rule of congress came to an end. The previous congress government with Hooda as CM has many allegations of corruption. The Robert Vadra land deal scam also played its role and helped BJP coming to power on its absolute majority.

As everyone knows, BJP banked heavily on Modi factor and the PM on his part did excellent job by attending as many public meetings as possible in both the states. The reasons for defeat of congress in both the states is attributed to the corruption allegations on congress governments and also the feel good factor about Modi government. The recent results are clear indication that Modi’s words are still appealing to voters and he has to really prove that he is a man of action as well.
