Tata Bolt interior revealed – AMT with 3 Driving modes to beat Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai i10 Chevrolet Beat and Volkswagen Polo

The Native Indian automotive giant Tata Motors has not revealed much about the upcoming exclusive models such as Bolt hatch back and Zest sedan so far. The manufacturer is likely to launch the Bolt hatch back both in petrol as well as in diesel versions in the Indian market and to the surprise of all, Tata Motors has recently revealed that the petrol version of the model will be powered with a turbo charged 1.2 litre Revo Tron engine and the hatch back will come up with three distinct driving modes.

As per the official web site of Tata Motors, the respective three driving modes the upcoming Bolt hatch back would consist of will be City, Economy and Sport respectively. The respective 1.2 litre Revotron turbo charged petrol engine of the Bolt hatch back is capable of producing 83.8 bhp power at the peak along with 140 Nm of torque. Engine is expected to be mated with a 5 speed manual transmission gear box by default. Tata is likely to offer an optional Auto Manual Transmission gear box with both petrol and diesel variants of the Bolt hatch back mostly.

The manufacturer has not provided any description about the driving modes of the Bolt hatch back so far but we could expect them to have different gear ratios generally. The City mode may come up with gear ratios that are optimized for drives in busy traffic conditions of urban areas. The gear lever may get placed into ‘D’ mode in both City and Economy drive modes. The Economy mode is expected to deliver the maximum fuel economy by arranging the gear ratios. The Sport mode may offer the driver full control on the vehicle and may allow the driver to change the gears manually by using the + and – controls.

Tata Motors has recently revealed a teaser image of the interior of the upcoming Bolt hatch back which has gone viral over web. The respective image has showed a clear view of the black colored interior and the combination of orange colored pattern of the dash board. The diesel version of the model will come up with a 1.3 litre diesel engine and it may also get mated with Auto Manual Transmission gear box. However, Tata Motors has to ensure that the upcoming hatch back is capable of tackling other leading hatch backs in the Indian market such as Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai i10, Grand i10, i20, Honda Jazz, Chevrolet Beat and Volkswagen Polo.
