SV Krishna Reddy Coming With Sequel For Super Hit Yamaleela
SV Krishna Reddy planning coming back after long gap of 20 years with a sequel for his earlier super hit film.
Vijayawada: SV Krsihan Reddy’s name is always associated with family entertainer movies. The music of the majority of his films was scored by himself and many of the movies recorded huge success both commercial and musically.
Association of SV with Atchi Reddy is remembered for many super hits like Rajendrudu-Gajendrudu, Mayalodu and of course Yamaleela.
The first movie Yamaleela had Ali & Roja in the lead roles. Kaikala Satyanarayana & Allu Ramalingayya played the roles of Yamadharma Raju & Chitragupta respectively. The film recorded grand success in view of the fact that none of the top heroes featured in the movie. The lead roles of the film included Ali, Indraja. The comedy track by Thota Ramudu Tanikella Bharani happened to be a bigger contributor for the success of the movie.
Action by senior actress Manju Bhargavi (as mother of Ali in the movie) received good appreciation from the audience. The huge success of the story enabled remake of the same movie in Hindi with Venkatesh replaying the role of Ali. The film produced by Ramanaidu under Suresh Productions also recorded great success at the box office.
After consecutive super hits (11 in numbers), SV Krishna Reddy remained away from the films. He was rarely seen in public except few of the audio launches.
Now after gap of almost 2 decades, Krishna Reddy is coming back to entertain the audience. This time also, he is joining hands with Atchi Reddy (successful combination in his earlier days). The present project Yamaleela2 is a sequel to Yamaleela.
The new project is having KV Satish in the lead role. Diah Nicholas and Sada are the names doing the rounds as the female leads in the movie. Present days movies are famous for having item song and following this tradition, SV is also planning a item song by Priyanka Kothari (aka Nisha Kothari).
The characters of the Yamadharma Raju & Chitragupta played an important in the first movie and those roles in the sequel are going to be played by dialogue king Mohan Babu & Brahmanandam respectively in the sequel. Dr. Mohan Babu already proved his ability to portray Yamadharmaraju in Jr. NTR’s Yamadonga movie which proved to be a grand success. As usual Brahmanandam is plus point for comedy track and in the role of Chitragupta there will be lot of scope for his performance to provide the required comic relief.
Now that the shooting of the movie is almost over (the last 2 songs are remaining and shooting of the same planned before 1st week of August 2014), the movie is scheduled to release in September 2014. We can expect good comedy, music and family entertainer from SV Krishna Reddy & Atchi Reddy combination.
