Raviteja Unable To Impress Audience With Routine Story

Mass Maharaja Raviteja once a minimum guarantee hero is unable to attract the audience with his routine story.l

Vijayawada: Raviteja is one hero who enjoyed minimum success with his movies. Starting his movie career in 1991 with Kartavyam (Vijayashanti fame) he portrayed many roles – supporting actor, character artist etc.

Sindhooram (1997) gave him lead role. Though the movie got average response, Raviteja could able to maintain stardom. During 2000’s he had lot more hits to his character as the lead role. During the period he depended more on story and films like Ee Abbayi Chala Manchodu, Dongodu, Kick, Vikramarkudu, Anjaneyulu, Dubai Seenu, Krishna etc made him minimum success hero. Majority of the roles played by Raviteja had mass appeal and hence he got a title ‘Mass Maharaja’.

During the last 4-5 years, Raviteja has been finding it very difficult to ensure success of his movies. He started getting stereo types roles and as such his career graph has been moving towards the earth. Since 2010 the only success that Raviteje had were for the films Don Seenu & Mirapakay. His narration in Rajamouli’s Maryada Ramanna (with Sunil in the lead role) also received good response from the audience.

All his subsequent movies could not work well at the box office. Films like Shambho Siva Sambho, Nippu, Daruvu, Balupu, Veera, Dongala Mutha etc could not maintain the minimum success range of this hero. Despite the continuous failure, Raviteja got good project like Devudu Chesina Manushulu (2012) with Illeana which fared better at Box office and that movie once again revived the career graph of Raviteja.

Ravi Teja’s success during 2000’s is much attributed to selection of variety stories that he acted and also the variation that he showed in his characters. But subsequent movies had stereo type performance by Raviteja and hence his success rate also remained minimal. The story in most of his recent films also remained with less of variation.

Presently Raviteja is completing the shooting of his next project ‘Power’ with Hansika & Regina Cassandra and this movie is once again expected to bring back the minimum success image to Raviteja. Regina proved her acting mettle in variety movies like SMS, Kotha Janta, Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham & Ra Ra Krishnayya. Hansika is more famous in Tamil movies. She started her career in Hindi movies as child artist and turned out to role of female lead with Allu Arjun’s Desa Muduru & her hits in Telugu include Denikaina Ready, Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda, Kandireega etc.
