Sony Xperia Z2 vs Samsung Galaxy S5: Which one’s better?

New Delhi:Sony and Samsung have now released there two new smartphones in the market, Xperia Z2 and Galaxy S5, respectively. It is time to compare them and determine the one that has an edge over the other. Here is a comparative look at the two smartphones:

Built: The dimensions of the Sony Xperia Z2 smartphone are 146.8 x 73.3 x 8.2 mm and it weighs about 163 grams. On the other hand, the dimensions of the Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone are 142 x 72.5 x 8.1 mm and it weighs about 145 grams. They both are water and dust resistant.

Display: Xperia Z2 comes with an IPS LCD multi touch display of 5.2 inches and 424 ppi pixel density. While S5 features a Super AMOLED multi touch display of 5.1 inches and 432 ppi pixel density. Both the devices offer a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.

Processor: Xperia Z2 has been loaded with Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974-AB chipset, Krait 400 quad core processor clocked at 2300 MHz. While the S5 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974-AC chipset, Krait 400 quad core processor clocked at 2500 MHz.

Operating System: Both the smartphones work on the latest version of Android, i.e. Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS.

Memory: Xperia Z2 offers 3072 MB RAM while the S5 offers 2048 MB RAM. Both the devices offer 16 GB internal memory and expandable memory up to 128 GB.

Camera: Xperia Z2 has been equipped with a rear camera of 20.7 MP with LED flash and a front facing camera of 2.2 MP. On the other hand, S5 comes with a rear camera of 16 MP and a front facing camera of 2.1 MP.

Battery: Xperia Z2 works on a battery of 3200 mAh while S5 works on a battery of 2800 mAh.
