Congress Rejects Revival Opportunity

The poorest performance in the recent general elections offered a chance to Congress to get rid of Gandhi-Nehru dynasty control over the party. But the party lost the opportunity.

Hyderabad: The 125 years congress party (senior most in the country) faced the worse ever performance in the recent general elections. The party had restricted itself to 47 MP seats (against total of 543 MP seats in Lok Sabha). The party has not been able to quality at least for the opposition designation on its own.

Immediately on declaration of results, there started a high drama in headquarters of congress party. The mother-son duo (Sonia & Rahul) offered to resign their posts taking responsibility for the poorest ever performance by the party.

The congress leaders, as usual, discussed the matter at length at CWC meeting. The committee unanimously opined that the defeat is collective responsibility and hence the resignations are not accepted.

Above it, the committee accepted the outgoing PM Manmohan Singh’s statement accepting the responsibility for the defeat of the congress in the elections.

The committee also decided to constitute an inquiry commission to look into the causes for the dismal performance of the congress party.

The committee also unanimously declared ‘authorizing Sonia’ to take the required steps to revive the party in whatever way she feels fit.

The congress leaders, the people of the country are all aware the reasons for the present state of the congress party. Even the foreign media suggested that congress should get rid of ‘Gandhi’ dynasty control over it.

As the history is a proof, congress as a party can’t sustain itself without the help of Gandhi family. The congress leaders at all levels prefer to work under Gandhi family. The cadres do not have the required courage to blame the Gandhi family for the mistakes done by the party.

Everyone knows that the mother-son duo played with the constitution of India and ensured that thePM is remote controlled to dance to the tunes of CWC (read Sonia & Rahul). The duo did not have enough respect for the person (Manmohan Singh in this case) or even the post of PM. The outgoing PM also felt that playing to the tunes on remote control would enhance prestige of him as well as the PM position.

Contrary to the drama at congress headquarters, the congress chief ministers in the states of Assam & Karnataka are getting maximum pressure to vacate their positions. Though the CM of Assam Tarun Gogoi agreed to resign within one week, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah rejected the demand for his resignation stating that the present elections are not referendum for his one year administration in the state of Karnataka. While on the subject it is interesting to note that Karnataka contributed maximum MP strength to congress party (Karnataka gave 9 congress MPs out of total 47 MPs won by the party in whole of the country).
