Mahindra to launch ‘Formula E’ electric Sports car, Electric version of Verito, Maxximo and a new e2O at Delhi Auto Expo

Mahindra & Mahindra’s ‘Reva’ division has made some spectacular launched last year and they are going to make this year more exciting with the launch of an electric sports car. Nobody has ever imagined that a sports car that is powered with an electric motor would be revealed this early and Reva is likely launch of the brand new ‘Formula E’ car at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo that is just a few days away.

In connection with the announcement regarding the ‘Formula E’ concept, Mr. Anand Mahindra, the Chairman and Managing Director of Mahindra Group has stated “With advanced operations and expertise in electronics, IT, automotive technologies and manufacturing, we are already seeing a fusion of technology into our electric vehicle operations. Racing will further accelerate that trend while formula E is set to raise awareness globally about the benefits of electric vehicle”. Along withis new electric sports car, Reva technologies is also looking forward to launch a brand new edition of the e2O.

The refreshed edition of e2O is going to come up with new charging system that takes far less time for a full charge comparatively than the former edition. Mr. Chetan Maini, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer for Mahindra Reva has stated in connection with Formula E concept recently “We have been working a lot on next generation electric vehicle technologies, which we will be showcasing in the five products we will display at the auto expo. Our aim has been to trickle down technology from such Formula E cars for commercial use and we are hopeful that in the next few years there will be a lot of cross pollination of technology”.

As per the information, Mahindra Reva is also looking for the establishment of financial wing under their parent group which will be availing finance for the Indian buyers for purchase of Reva’s electric series models. Mr. Maini has added “Also, we will be showcasing the electric version of Mahindra’s Verito sedan and light commercial vehicle Maxximo, which are likely to be ready for commercialization by the end of the year”.
