South Indian Movie Industry Reaches 43,600 Crore By 2017

The Film Industry of South India is predicted to almost double to Rs 43,600 large integer by 2017 from around Rs 23,900 crore now, per a joint study by Deloitte and FICCI.The report, titled ‘Media and recreation in South India - the Digital March’, same the expansion within the trade would be principally driven by quality of vernacular content among the region’s public and therefore the evolving system, together with endeavours by media vehicles to expand their presence.

New Delhi: While sanctioning regional media players to achieve their audience, the trade continues to draw in national players to explore this growing South market.The market is dominated by TV at 56 %, followed by print 28 % and films 11 %.

Among the states, state constitutes over simple fraction of the South Indian media and show biz. The trade in state is predicted to grow at a rather higher rate than the opposite states of the region, with all four major media platforms are expected to grow quicker within the state. Films, print, TV, Radio are all media platforms which are pushing content and enhancing the range, so it can reach wider audience in less time.

South Indian industry, with 831 films, accounts for over 50 % the entire films certified across India. The entire revenue of South Indian industry is predicted to be at Rs 2,680 crore within the 2013 year. Driven by huge fan base, growing or increasing revenue opportunities from satellite broadcasters and new Digital media platforms, the revenue are expected to the touch’s 4,220 crore by 2017. New media platforms and radio stations platforms are expected to grow rapidly or with higher rate than all over the industry media. Also, the report says that the radio platform show amazing results in promoting the content in South India.
