Changes in Engineering Admission Procedure: Option need to choose at Helpline centres

Changes will come in the admission of engineering entrance process. Option need to choose at Helpline centres instead of internet centres.

Hyderabad: Changes will come in the admission of engineering entrance process. With the intention to overcome the misutilisation of Scratch cards, Technical Education Council is going to make changes in the admission procedure. Earlier students use to select their options from internet centres. But this procedure will come to an end. To choose the options Technical Education Council are going set up help lines for the students.

This new procedure will become burden to the students of the state. Counselling fee in the last academic year is Rs.600. There is chance of increasing fee in this academic year. Options once given can be changed by the student. For this option changing process students need to pay extra amount and can change only at helpline centres. Regarding this Technical Education council had taken primary decision. A meeting was conducted by Technical Education Council to take a decision regarding changes need to make in engineering admission procedure. In this meeting, Raghunath, Entrance Camp officer, Educational Ministry officers, Technical Education council Commissioner Ajay Jain and several other EMCET officers were participated. Another meeting will be held to take final decision.

Main Features of the Proposals are: Options have to be chosen only at helpline centres instead of internet centres. Helpline centres are going to increase from 53 to 93. 2500 Computer will available for the students. For this process extra amount is required. Due to this counselling fee will increase. Counselling fee yet to be decided. At the time of applying, students need to upload the photos of either Parents or Guardian. At the time of choosing the options any of these persons need to come to helpline centres along with the student.

Along with students only one person will be allowed in to the centre. Each student will be given only 1 hours time. At the time of applying through online, students need to choose the helpline centres which they were going to use for selecting the options. Students need to go that centre only to choose for the option. First, options need to be mentioned in Form given by Technical Education council and then given in the online. If students want to change the option they need to pay extra amount.
