Sony PlayStation 4 Launched In India at Rs. 39,990: Will Be Available from Jan 6, 2014

The best gaming device of the era, the all new Sony Play Station 4 (PS 4) finally launched in Indian market on December 18, 2013, priced at Rs. 39,990. The additional PS camera costs Rs 4,990. First-party gaming titles cost Rs. 3,999 while third-party titles will range between Rs. 2,499 and Rs. 4,499.

Mumbai: Sony PlayStation 4will available from January 6, 2014 in India which was first launched on November 15 in the United States, Canada, Europe and Latin American countries. Sony has created history after selling one million units of PS4 within first 24 hours and sold 2.1 million PS4 consoles within a week.

The all new Sony PS4 is powered by the most powerful custom chip that contains 8X86-64 cores and a state of the art 1.84 TFLOPS graphics processor with 8GB of ultra-fast GDDR5 unified system memory, easing game creation and increasing the richness of content achievable on the platform. It also offers the DualShock4 controller featuring new innovations to deliver more immersive gaming experiences, including a highly sensitive six-axis sensor as well as a touch pad located on the top of the controller which offers completely new ways to play and interact with games. The new Share button puts video streaming and sharing a tap away. While the ‘SHARE’ button on the controller, scan through the last few minutes of game play, tag it and return to the game – the video uploads as the gamer plays. The PS4 system also enhances social spectating by enabling the player to broadcast his/her game play in real time.

The PS4 system has the ability to learn about the player’s preferences. It will learn the likes and dislikes of the player, allowing his/her to discover content pre-loaded and ready to go on their console in their favorite game genres or by their favorite creators. Players also can look over game-related information shared by friends, view friends’ game play with ease, or obtain information about recommended content, including games, TV shows and movies.
Remote Play on the PS4 system fully unlocks the PlayStationVita system’s potential, making it the ultimate companion device. With the PS Vita system, gamers will be able to seamlessly play a range of PS4 titles on the beautiful 5-inch display over Wi-Fi access points in a local area network.

Current PlayStation Plus members can carry their membership over to their PS4 system, and continue to use it with their PS3 and PS Vita systems, at no additional cost.
