Toyota Corolla 2014 to be launched at Delhi Auto Expo in February, 2014 – Indians to get European version Sedan
Toyota Kirloskar Motors has already announced about the launch of upcoming Corolla sedan in the Indian market but no specific launch schedule was revealed so far. The manufacturer has not revealed much about the model and thus all are waiting very eagerly for the launch. Some sources now revealed that the Toyota Corolla 2014 is going to be launched at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo which will be held in February, 2014.
Some enthusiast has already revealed a set of spy snaps of Corolla 2014’s test mule which have gone viral over web. The manufacturer has already launched the model in other markets globally including American and the European markets. There are a wide number of differences between the American version and the European versions of the vehicle and it is informed that Indian market is going to get the European version of the Toyota Corolla 2014. So we may expect all the variants of the model that are being sold in the European market currently.
The base variant of the Indian version Corolla Sedan may get powered with a 1.4 litre diesel engine that is capable of generating around 88.4 PS of power at the peak along with 205 Nm of torque. A higher end variant may also be expected which is going to be fitted with a 1.8 litre VVT – I petrol engine that is capable of generating 140 PS of power at the peak along with 173 Nm of torque. Both the variants may get accompanied with a 6 speed manual transmission gear box as standard but the buyer may be offered a CVT transmission version too.
The outer design of the model is very attractive and it has already received well in the global market. The front fascia gets a new set of LED head lamps which makes the vehicle look much trendy and aggressive. 17 inch full alloy wheels adds to the beauty of the vehicle and the twin spoke design of the wheels represents the premium quality of making.
