Jolla smart phone specifications revealed : Jolla dream phone to be made available by December 2013
Jolla, a Finland based company has come up with a new smart phone. Specifications of the Jolla smart phone are not yet revealed officially. Sources have confirmed few specifications and smart phone is going to be launched in December, 2013. It is going to be priced at 399 Euros.London: In the beginning of this year, Finland based start-up company Jolla has announced its first independently designed smart phone. At that time, no specifications including name and price are revealed. Now, Jolla smart phone’s specifications are revealed. Jolla is planning to release it soon by the end of 2013.
Jolla smart phone runs on Sailfish OS. It sports a 4.5-inch qHD screen display with resolution of 960-by-540 pixels. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core processor over a RAM of 1 GB. It has an internal storage capacity of 16 GB. Memory can expandable up to 32 GB through microSD card slot.
Jolla smart phone’s official name is not yet revealed. It comes with an 8 – Mega Pixel rear camera with auto focus and LED flash. It sports a 2 MP front facing camera. Moreover, company seems to have also promised to provide a 2,100 mAh user-replaceable battery. Jolla is planning to sell its maiden dream product in December 2013. Jolla smart phone would be priced at 399 Euros (INR 33,486).
Jolla has announced that the upcoming smart phone will be compatible with Android ecosystem and hardware to enable its users to download Android applications seamlessly as how they could with other mobiles. It has announced that popular apps like Instagram, Whatsapp and Spotify would run directly on Sailfish OS. Jolla CEO Tomi Pienimaki said that Chinese Webchat with 400 million users runs directly on Sailfish OS.
