Berlin: Samsung is holding an event on September 4 in Berlin where Galaxy Note III phablet is expected to be launched. There are also rumors going round that Samsung Galaxy Gear smart watch is also going to be released along Galaxy Note III.
According to reliable source SamMobile, Galaxy Gear smart watch will also be introduced at the Berlin event. The code name of the device is SM-V700. It is likely to come with flexible display and this information is differed by some reports. it is going to run on Android platform.
The Korean media also reported launching date of Galaxy Gear is confirmed to be September 4 a few days before IFA trade fair begins. Another interesting information about the device is that phone calls can also be made with the smart watch. The users will also be able to access the net and check emails. The details of availability of the device are not yet clearly known.
Samsung Galaxy Gera smartwatch is a companion device for Galaxy Note III. The leaked specifications about Galaxy Gear smart watch suggest that the watch will be powered by 1.5 GHz dual core Exynos SoC with ARM Mali-400 Mail-400 MP4 GPU. Other specification are 1.67 mm AMOLED display with 320 x 320 pixel resolution, NFC and Bluetooth support and also a 2 megapixel camera. None of these specifications are confirmed and thus should be taken with a pinch of salt.
