Nokia is supposedly launching its flagship handset Nokia EOS at Mobile Congress world 2013. The flagship device will be based Windows based. It features PureView Phase one technology that was there in Nokia PureView handset.

The affordable low range of Windows phone smartphones from Nokia will diversify the portfolio of Nokia. Nokia lost its domination of cheaper handsets as it was concentrating on competing with the likes of Apple and Samsung by introducing high end phones. It is expected that the company would unveil a low price model of Lumia at Mobile Congress world 2013. This will help boost it mid tier offering. This is an important market for any manufacturer and more and more consumers are demanding access of social media websites such as Facebook.

It is also losing its share in the low end markets to other manufacturers. There were also rumors that Nokia will launch a tablet at MWC but some sources confirmed that Nokia is not yet ready to launch one.

There are no details about the entry level devices that would be launched by Nokia, but it can be expected that the low end range of pones will become successful as the Asha feature phone series. Big Smartphone market is not a growing market as the customers will be upgrading to another or replace the old one.

Nokia’s Smartphone share is only 5 percent. Apple, Samsung hold 52 percent smartphones market share. Nokia sold nearly 4.4 million Lumia devices in the fourth quarter. The company is expanding the line up of Asha models to increase its market shares in developing markets such as India and China. Asha models are offered with internet access feature.
