New Delhi: Electronics mammoth Videocon Launches it’s first Android based budget tablet named as VT10 tablet for an attractive price of Rs 11,200. The price range is somewhat closer to the Google’s Nexus 7 which costs $199 i.e Rs. 300 less than the VT10. The difference is the screen size of Google’s Nexus which is a 7-inch screen.

V10 tablet powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor features a 10-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) capacitive multi-touch IPS display and it runs on Android 4.1 (jelly bean). Both the rear and front cameras are 2MP which is acceptable for the tablets. Lots off apps are preloaded in it including Facebook,Saavn, Nimbuzz etc. Videocon is hoping get to position in the market with this launch. However it has a strong competition with
Micromax Funbook Pro – It is powered with a 1.2 GHz processor , and it runs on an android operating system vesion 4.0(Ice cream sandwich) and Micromax Funbook Pro is priced at Rs 9999. Second is the Zync Z1000 tablet - Its Screen is of 9.7 inches, it also runs on an android operating system version 4.0(Ice Cream Sandwich). It is powered by a 1.5 GHz processor and it includes a 1 GB of Random Access Memory. It is priced at Rs. 10,990.And at LastKarbonn Smart Tab 10- it features a 9.7 inches of display, it runs on android 4.1 jelly bean same as VT10. It is priced at Rs. 10,490.

The audio formats that it supports include: MP3, AMR, WAV, WMA and AAC; while the list of video formats that it supports includes MP4, 3GP, AVI, FLV, MOV, MKV, WMV, RMVB, VOB and DAT.
