Shinde as Lok Sabha Leader

Susheel Kumar Shinde who was appointed as Home Minister of India recently has got another post. He has been selected as Lok Sabha leader. Pavan Kumar Bansal who is the parliament activities minister has told that Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh has nominated Susheel Kumar Shinde as leader for lower house in Parliament. It is already known that previous Lok Sabha leader Pranab Mukherjee has vacated the position due to President Post.

Susheel Kumar Shinde who is the backward class leader from Maharashtra held many key posts earlier. He worked as Chief Minister also. He came to Andhra Pradesh as governor. He worked as electricity minister in UPA-2 government and has become Home Minister now. Since he has been nominated as Lok Sabha leader, he will be automatically getting in to core committee of congress party. So he will become member of Congress party core committee soon. Members of Congress party core committee include Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh, Sonia Gandhi, A K Antony, P Chidambaram and Ahmad Patel. Decisions of core committee will be final with regard to any aspects pertaining to party and the government.

According to the rules and regulations, If Prime Minister is from Lok Sabha he should be the leader of the house. But since Man Mohan Singh is from Rajya Sabha, instead of Lok Sabha, congress party has nominated Shinde as Lok Sabha Leader. Susheel Kumar Shinde told thanks to Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi for nominating him as the leader for Lok Sabha. Susheel Kumar Shinde has come from the root levels of the party and hence he is expected to have strong expertise in dealing with the party affairs. Also, he is expected to use his vast experience in serving as Lok Sabha Leader. His Affable Manner is expected to get cooperation from the opposition party leaders so that the things go well. Shinde needs to meet the opposition party leaders on behalf of the government, as a part of his responsibilities as Lok Sabha leader.
