Venkatesh’s Shadow Shooting in Langkawi
The movie Shadow, is based on a Mafia story and Venkatesh is the hero of the film. Director of the film is Meher Ramesh, It has Tapsee in the female leading role and Srikanth and Madhurima play other crucial roles. Presently the movie is being shot in Langkawi in Malaysia. Action scenes related to the villain are being shot here. Aditya Pacholi is playing the role of main villain in the movie.
Producer Paruchuri Kiriti said that the characterization and action of hero Venkatesh will attract the audience. The role played by Srikanth is crucial for the story. He also informed that important scenes and fights will be shot in Malaysia. Shadow will be the first Telugu movie that is shot in a popular tourist attraction on a large scale.
Meher Ramesh who directed Billa earlier also shot a part of the film here in which Prabhas was the hero. But the shoot was only for few days. But this time he is shooting a large part of the movie in picturesque places in Malaysia.
Venkatesh is playing the role of a don in the film Shadow, a fiery action movie. The film is said to be one of the most expensive films in the career of Venkatesh. The budget of the film is said to be Rs. 30 crore.
The film shadow is being made under United Movies banner and is produced by Paruchuri Kiriti. Earlier, the shooting of the movie was planned to be in Mumbai. But heavy rains in Mumbai disrupted the shooting of the film because of which the location is now shifted to Malaysia.
Director Meher Ramesh is popular for the lavish film making and the budget for the schedule of the film to be shot in Langkawi is expected to be over Rs. 8 crores. Helicopters, star cruise ships are being used in the shooting as action scenes are being shot. The schedule is for about 16 days.
Producer of the movie Paruchuri Kiriti informed that Shadow movie is an action entertainer. He said that as the name suggests, the movie will be based on the story of Mafia and is being made with all the entertainment ingredients to make it a big hit. Music is scored by SS Thaman. Story is penned by Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan. The film is expected to be released in January, 2013.
