Konda Surekha Will Not Be Supported by JAC: Kodandaram
Telangana political JAC chairman Professor Kodandaram has said that they will take decision about whom to support in the coming Parkal by-elections. He was talking to the journalists on 27th May, 2012 in Nekkonda in Warangal district. He informed that a survey was conducted by the professors of Kakatiya University on Parkal elections and support will be given according to the survey report.
Kodandaram has said that Surekha lost her MLA seat because she changed the political party but she has not resigned for Telangana. She is supporting Seemandhra leader Jagan and is saying that she has resigned for Telangana which is not correct. Kodandaram has also said that if she was not supporting Jagan, JAC would have worked hard for the victory of Surekha. The support of JAC will always be there for people who are working for the Telangana movement, he said.
Meanwhile, BJP leader Dattatreya has said that it Telangana Political JAC should not support any party but should stay neutral. He talked to journalists in Parkal and said that it is not correct on JAC part to survey on the by-election. Dattatreya has also said that JAC should work for the Telangana movement but should not interfere in political matters. He remembered that JAC has already said that it will give support to people who resigned for the cause of separate Telangana. Any hasty decision taken by Telangana political JAC would cause problems. Dattatreya is confident that Parkal people are ready to vote for BJP and let it win with huge majority. He advised Minister Ponnala Lakshman to understand that self respect of Telangana people is more important than the development.
On the other side, Eetela Rajender of TRS party also spoke in a press conference in Karimnagar. He demanded that Jagan be arrested and the money he has taken during the term of Mr. Raja Sekhar Reddy be taken back. He said that Jagan showed placards against Telangana in Parliament and so his candidate Konda Surekha should not win from Parkal. He said TRS will win from Parkal constituency and BJP is trying to divide Telangana people which will never happen.
