He is the executive member on FICCI and is also the member on Board of the Madras Christian College. Satish Sharma president of Apollo Tyres Ltd, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa is elected as the Vice Chairman of Automotive Tyre Manufacturers’ Association, ATMA.

Free Bus Pass Scheme for Senior Citizens announced in Tamil Nadu

18.2.2016: Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalithaa announced a new bus pass scheme for senior citizens. The scheme will come into effect from February 24 which is the birth day of Tamil Nadu chief minister. Under this scheme, senior citizens above the age of sixty years can travel free in Metropolitan Transport Corporation run non-AC buses in Chennai.

18.2.2016: Noida based Ringing Bells Pvt Ltd is launched in Delhi. The smartphone is fully made in India except for the processor which will be imported. The handset is now available for pre orders on official site of the company. Registration will close on February 21. The new smartphone is dubbed as Freedom251 and is priced only Rs. 251 which makes it the cheapest smartphone in the world.

18.2.2016: Tata Steel bagged the best in class for manufacturing award is bagged by Tata Steel. Hero MotoCorp bagged the manufacturing innovator of the year award and the Young Maker of the Year award is won by Yogesh and Rajesh Agrawal of Ajanta Pharma Limited.
