Justice Tirath Singh Thakur is the 43rd Chief Justice of India

3.12.2015: Justice Tirath Singh Thakur is sworn in as the 43rd chief justice of India.  He was sworn in by president of India Pranab Mukherjee.  He succeeds Justice HL Dattu who retired on December 2 this year.  He will continue to be the chief justice for another year and will retire on 4th January 2017.

Dr Vijay M Rao is the Chair Person of Radiological Society of North America

3.12.2015: Board of directors of Radiological Society of North America named Dr Vijay M Rao as the chairperson of the society.  DR Vijay M Rao is an Indian American. Prior to this appointment, she was the chairperson of professor of Radiology at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University.

Indian National Bar Association Award for Pulin Kumar

3.12.2015: Adidas India’s group senior legal and compliance director Pulin Kumar is honored with 2015 – Retail Award from Indian National Bar Association’s general counsel.  The award was presented to Kumar by Ram Jethmalani, senior lawyer at INBA’s annual international conference.  The award was given to his for his contribution to legal field.  He served to the field for more than twenty one years in and outside of India.


Amitabh Bachchan Co-Owner of IPTL Team

3.12.2015: Amitabh Bachchan became the co-owner of OUE Singapore Slammers and the other owner is UD group.  Singapore Slammers is one of the five teams that compete in second International Premiere Tennis League going to be held this month.  Bachchan will make an appearance on December 20 at Singapore Indoor Stadium.  Fans can interact with him on this day at the stadium. The final league of International Premier Tennis League will be held from December 18 to 20 in Singapore.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities is on 3rd December

3.12.2015: December 3rd is observed as the international day of persons with disabilities.  The theme of the day is ‘Inclusion matters: access and empowerment for people of all abilities’.  According to United Nations, there are about one billion people in the world living with disabilities.  These people are not included in many aspects of the society.
