24.12.2015: The new chief executive officer of Food Safety and standards Authority of India is Pawan Kumar Agarwal, the senior IAS officer. Prior to this appointment is serving as joint secretary in union ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship. He will succeed Yudhir Singh Malik who banned Maggi noodles.

Amit Agarwal appointed the Chief Financial Officer of Jet Airways

24.12.215: Amit Agarwal is appointed the chief financial officer of Jet Airways. Prior to this appointment he was the chief financial officer of Suzlon energy. He has more than twenty four years of experience and has good knowledge of Indian and international markets. He will be part of the operating committee of Jet Airways that steer the growth plans of the airline.

International Tennis Federation Announces Winner of 2015 World Champions

24.15.2015: International Tennis Federation announced the winners of 2015 world champions. Wheelchair world champions are Jiske Griffioen of Netherlands and Shingo Kunieda of Japan. Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza are announced as the women’s doubles world champions. Serena Wiliams of USA is the women’s world champion and Novak Djokovic is the men’s world champion. Salma Galfi and Taylor Fritz are the ITF Junior world champions.

Sepp Blatter and Michel Plantini Banned by FIFA

24.12.2015: The Adjudicatory chamber of Ethics Committee of FIFA banned Sepp Blatter, the FIFA president and Michael Plantini, the president of UEFA for a period of eight years. Apart from banning, they are also fined 4000 and 8000 US Dollars respectively. Blatter is said to have transferred 20 lakh Swiss Francs to Platini which is said to be the reason for ban.

International Cricket Council announced 2015 ICC Awards

24.12.2015: 2015 ICC awards were announced by International Cricket Council in Dubai. The awards were announced based on the performance of individuals and teams. The test cricketer of the year award is conferred on Australian captain Steve Smith. ODI cricketer of the year award is given to AB de Villiers. Brendon McCullum won the ICC Spirit of the Cricket award. ICC Women’s ODI cricketer of the year award is given to Meg Lanning of Australia.
