Roch March Christian Kabore Elected President of Burkina Faso

2.12.2015: The new president of Burkina Faso, the West African country is Roch March Christian Kabore. He defeated Zephirin Diabre and Tahirou Barry to become the next president of the country.  He was the president of the country from 1994 to 1996.

Hinduja Brothers Received Lifetime Achievement Award at Asian Business Leadership Forum 2015

2.12.2015: Hinduja brothers received the lifetime achievement award at Asian Business Leadership Forum in Dubai. The award is given for powerful and influential business leaders.  The award was received by Gopichand P Hinduja from Minister of Culture Sheikh Nahyan Mubarak Al Nahyan of UAE.  ABLF is the most prestigious annual business leadership event series of Asia.

President Pranab Mukherjee Presented Dr Abdul Kalam IGNITE Award

1.12.2015: Indian president Pranab Mukherjee presented Dr Abdul Kalam IGNITE Award to 40 school students from 18 states.  The award is given to the winners of contest of technological ideas and innovations. Participants in the contest are children below the age of seventeen years or up to class 12.  This competition is held every year on 15th October which is the birth date of Dr AP Abdul Kalam.

Anil Kumble stepped down as Chief Mentor of Mumbai Indians

1.12.2015: Anil Kumble decided to step down as chief mentor of IPL franchise Mumbai Indians.  This comes into effect immediately, he told.  He was with Mumbai Indian since 2013. His took this decision to pursue opportunities other than this in cricket and other sports, it is said.

December 1st is World Aids Day

1.12.2015: The 1st December of every year is celebrated as World Aids Day. The day is observed to raise awareness of AIDS, HIV infection and also to mourn the deaths because of this disease.  Theme of this year’s world AIDS day is ‘getting to Zero: end Aids by 2030.  The campaign is market by World Health Organization. The other health campaigns market by WHO include World Blood Donor Day, World Health Day, World Malaria Day and World Tuberculosis Day.
