Naina Lal Kidwai Appointed As Independent Director for Cipla
7.11.2015: Naina Lal Kidwani is appointed as an independent director of Cipla. Prior to this appointment she was working as chairperson of HSBC India. She is also the non executive director on Nestle SA board.
India stands at Sixth in FIH Rankings
7.11.2015: FIH revised rankings are announced and according to the rankings Indian hockey team stands in sixth position. Indian team’s ranking was 8th earlier and it rose by two places. This is due to performance of the team in Hockey World League semi finals. The list is topped by Australia and is followed by Netherlands and Germany. Indian women Hockey Team ranking in the list is 13th.
Heena Sindhu wins Gold at 13th Asian Shooting Championships
7.11.2015: Heena Sindu won a gold medal at 13th Asian Shooting Championship. He won the medal at 10m air pistol women’s event. She also won a gold medal at 8th Asian Air Gun Championships in the same event. Other medal winners at the event are Nivetha, Shivam Shukla and Angad Bajwal.
21st INCOFYRA in Bengaluru in 2016
7.11.2015: Vivekananda Yoga Aunusandhana Samsthan is organizing IMCOFYRA in Bengaluru from 3rd to 7th January, 2016 in Bengaluru. Theme of the event is Yoga in Integrated Healthcare Systems. The event will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Smriti Irani launches Various Mobile Apps
7.11.2015: Union human resource development minister Smt. Smriti Irani launched e-pathashala, Saransh and other portals and mobile apps. She launched them in an event at National Conference on ICT in school education in New Delhi. E-Pathashala is a web portal for students and teachers; Shaala Siddhi is an instrument for school evaluation and Saransh helps to identify areas of improvement in schools, students and teachers.
Rs. 80,000 Cr Package Announced for Jammu Kashmir
7.11.2015: Prime minister of India, Narendra Modi announced a special package for Jammu and Kashmir. This is a development package of Rs. 80,000 and will be used for development projects for flood relief, human resource development, skill and sports development and road and highways projects.
