Rakesh Kapur is Elected the Vice President of International Fertilizer Industry Association

29.11.2015: Rakesh Kapur is elected as the vice president of International Fertilizer Industry Association and his tenure will be for two years.  Rakesh Kapur is the joint managing director of IFFCO. International Fertilizer Industry Association has 540 members from eighty countries.  There are two other members on board apart from Kapur from South Asia.

Rajiv Bansal is appointed as CFO of Olacabs

29.11.2015: App based cab operator OlaCabs appointed Rajiv Bansal as its new chief financial officer.  He will succeed Mitesh Shah who is now going to lead strategic finance initiatives of the company.  Prior to this appointment, Rajiv Bansal was with Infosys as the Advisor to CEO.

Patricia Scotland elected the first Female Secretary General of Commonwealth

29.11.2015: Patricia Scotland is elected the secretary general of Commonwealth. She is the first woman to be elected for this. She is a lawyer by profession and is from Dominica.  She succeeds Kamalesh Sharma whose term completes on 1st April next year.

P V Sindhu Wins Macau Open Grand Prix Gold Women’s Singles Title for the Third Time

29.11.2015: Sindhu won the Macau Open Grand Prix women’s singles title. This is the third time in a row that she won the title.  She defeated sixth seed Mitani to win the prize money of $ 120,000.  Sindhu finished the game 21-9, 21-23 and 21-14. The match lasted for one hour and six minutes.

British Boxer Tyson Fury wins World Heavyweight Champion Title

29.11.2015: Eleven year reign of Wladimir Klitschko as world heavyweight champion ended as he is defeated by British Boxer Tyson Fury.  Wladimir won a total of 23 title defenses in his career.

Largest Durga Temple to be opened in Australia

29.11.2015: Largest Hindu temple is going to be opened in Australia.  The temple is dedicated to Maa Durga and was under construction for five years.  The temple will be opened on November 30.  The temple is built in Rockbank and is near to Melbourne City.
