Muna Chauhan Honored with Point of Light award in UK

11.11.2015: Community campaigner from India, Muna Chauhan is honored with Point of Light from prime minister of Britain, David Cameron.  The 46 year old’s word towards young people and women from BAME backward were recognized by the UK government who bestowed her with Point of Light.

 K M Mani, Finance Minister of Kerala Resigned

11.11.2015: Finance minister of Kerala Mr., K M Mani resigned.  He took the decision after Kerala High Court upheld the order of a vigilance court order to probe a bribery case.  He is alleged to involve in bar license bribery case.

Helmut Schmidt, Former Chancellor of Britain Passed Away

11.11.2015: Helmut Schmidt who led Germany as Chancellor during 1970s and early 1980s passed away at the age of 96.  He was elected chancellor in May 1974.  Prior to this he was the finance minister of the country from 1972 to 1974.  He and former French president Valery Giscard d’Estaing set up the European Monetary system and a joint currency ECU.

Younis Khan, Pakistan’s batsman Retired from ODI

11.11.2015: Veteran batsman of Pakistan, Younis Khan announced his retirement from one day international cricket.  The batsman scored more than 9000 runs in test cricket and he is the first batsman to achieve this. But he struggled in the ODI format though he played 264 matches. His average is 31.34.  He made his debut in 2000 against Sri Lanka.  His 7,240 runs in ODI matches came from 264 matches and consist of 7 centuries and 48 half centuries.

GSAT-15 Launched Successfully

11.11.2015: GSAT-15, India’s communication satellite launched successfully from Kourou in French Guiana.  It weighs 3164 kgs and it carried a GPS aided GEO augmented navigation and communication transponders in Ku-bank.

China’s YouTube Acquired by Alibaba

11.11.2015: Alibaba Group Holding Ltd acquired Youku Tudou Inc, which is known as China’s You Tube.  It acquired it for $3.67 billion.  Alibaba is an e-commerce company is china and it provides various services to the consumers including electronic payment services, data centric cloud computing and also a shopping search engine.
