AK Jha is the new CMD of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited

2.11.2015: Anil Kumar Jha took over as the new Chairman cum Managing Director of Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd.  Prior to this appointment, he was the director of production and planning in MOIL limited.  Jha has around 32 years of experience in mine planning, production and supervision.  He is an MTech degree holder in Mine planning and design from ISM, Dhanbad.  His first job was with Coal India Subsidiary Central Coalfields Limited at Ranchi in 1983.

Brijmohan Lall Munjal, Hero Group Founder is No More

2.11.2015: The founder of Hero Group, Shri Brijmohan Lall Munjal passed away at the age of 92. He is survived by one daughter and three sons.  He was the chairman Emeritus of Hero MotoCorp.  Hero Group was established in 1956 which was a bicycle company set up in early 1940 in Ludhiana. Hero Cycles, a part of Hero Group became the largest manufacturer of bicycles since 1986 was also led by him.

 VN Mishra, Renowned Archaeologist Passed away

2.11.2015: Eminent Archaeologist VN Mishra passed away at the age of 80.  He was very famous for his Ethnoarchaeology, prehistory and protohistory research.  His remarkable achievement was excavations of Balathal in Rajasthan and Bhimbetka in Madhya Pradesh.  He won the VS Wakankar award from Madhya Pradesh government. He served as Director of Deccan College.

Roger Federer won Swiss Indoor Men’s Singles Title 2015

2.11.2015: Roger Federer of Switzerland won the Swiss Indoors men’s singles tennis title. He defeated Rafael Nadal 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 in the final match that was played in Switzerland. This is the seventh Swiss Indoors title and 88th in his career.  He already won five titles this year and this is the sixth one in his account.

Reliance Communications Took Over MTS India

2.11.2015: MTS India is taken over by Reliance Communication led by Anil Ambani.  MTS India has more than 9 million customers and around 1500 crore rupees revenue.  All these will be brought to Reliance Communication with the merging.
