Edida Nageshwararao is No More
4.10.2015: Edida Nageshwararao, who made films like Swatimuthyam, Sankarabharanam and Siri Siri Muvva on his Purnodaya Creations banner passed away in a private hospital in Hyderabad. He was 81. He is survived by wife, one daughter and three sons. Edida Nageshwara Rao was born in East Godavari district in 1934. His last film as a producer was Aapathbandhavudu. He also served as the secretary of South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce for nine years.
Sashank Manohar Elected Unanimously as President of BCCI
4.10.2015: Sashank Manohar is elected unanimously as the president of BCCI. This was announced in the special board meeting in Mumbai. After the sudden demise of Jagmohan Dalmiya, elections were held for which only Sashank Manohar’s nomination was received. With this he is announced to have elected as the President of BCCI. He is the 36th president of BCCI. This is the second innings for Manohar as the president. He was the president of the board during 2008-2011. Manohar is one such person in board politics who is referred as mister clean. He does not have his own e-mail account and he does not use a cell phone also. He is a note lawyer in Nagpur.
Indian Super League Second Season Launched
4.10.2015: The second season of Indian Super League started off in Mumbai at 6.00 pm at Jawaharlal Stadium in Mumbai. Mukesh Ambani, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajnikanth, Sachin Tendulkar are among those who were present at the event. Indian super league football tourney will continue for 79 days.
Apollo Hospitals Group Launches Home Care Service
4.10.2015: Apollo Hospitals Group Hyderabad launched new services. Apollo group announced the launching of Home Care services which provides medical services at home and the patient need not stay in the hospital for long. Presently these services will be available in Chennai, Delhi and Hyderabad and soon will be made available in Ahmadabad, Bangalore and Kolkata. Hospitals occupancy ratio of Apollo hospitals is 80 percent and home care services will make it possible to provide services to more number of patients at home for affordable prices.
