Jimmy Morales Elected as Guatemala President
27.10.2015: Jimmy Morales won the Guatemala presidential elections and will be the new president of the country from 14th January, 2016. He was a former TV comedian and is a candidate nominated from National Convergence Front. He won more than 67 percent votes. Sandra Torres, the former ex first day could only win 33% of votes.
Samiran Chakraborty is the Chief Economist of Citi India
27.10.2015: Citi India announced the appointment of Samiran Chakraborty as chief economist. Prior to this appointment, Samiran Chakraborty was the managing director and head of Macro Research for South Asia at Standard Chartered Bank. He was also with ICICI bank as chief economist.
Narendra Nayak is the Managing Director of Blackberry India
27.10.2015: Narendra Nayak is appointed as the managing director of BlackBerry India. He succeeds Sunil Lalvani who left the organization in June this year. The company stated that the new managing director is responsible for software and services business through all channels in India – direct enterprise customers, distribution partners and network operators.
Sajjan Singh Yadav is the new VAT Commissioner of Delhi
27.10.2015: Lt Governor of Delhi Naeeb Jung appointed Sajjan Singh Yadav as the VAT Commissioner of Delhi. He belongs to 1995 IAS officers batch. His name was proposed by Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal. Prior to this appointment, Sajjan Singh was the CEO of Delhi Jal Board and Keshan Chandra will take charge as new CEO.

27.10.2015: Veteran actor Shashi Kapoor is to be honored with retrospective at International Film Festival of India 2015. His popular films that include Shakespeawallah, Deewar and Junoon will be screened at the event.
People’s Choice Award at Rome Film Festival for Indian Movie
27.10.2015: Angry Indian Goddess a Hindi movie starring Sandhya Mridul, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Anushka Manchanda was chosen for the People’s choice award at Rome Film Festival. The movie is directed by Pan Nalin. It was chosen based on the votes it received through online voting. A standing ovation was also received by the movie at the festival held in Italy.
