Narang Achieves Number One Asian Ranking

5.9.2015: Gagan Narang achieved the number one spot in men’s 50 m rifle shooting category in Asian.  Narang has 971 points and Shengbo Zhao who belongs to China is in second position with 896 points. Another Indian Pistol King Jitu Rai is in second position in men’s 50 m pistol category and he has 1929 points to his credit.  Jongoh Jin of Korea is leading the ranks.  Abhinav Bindra is placed in fifth position in 10 m air rifle.  Narang won a bronze medal at London Olympics 2012.

Vikas Wins Silver at Asian Championships

5.9.2015: Vikas Krishan, the Indian boxer won a silver medal at Asian Championships.  He followed Bektemir Melikuziev of Uzbekistan who won the gold.  India finished its campaign at Asian Championships with one silver, three bronzed medals.  Six Indian boxers will now participate in world championships which is the qualifying event for Olympics 2016.

Aadesh Srivastava Passed Away

5.9.2015: Music composer Aadesh Shrivastava lost the battle with cancer and breathed his last at the age of 51. He passed away at Kokilaben hospital where he was undergoing treatment for cancer.  He was diagnosed with cancer in 2010. Since a few days his condition was becoming critical. He is survived by wife Vijeta Pandit who is an actress. Few of Aadesh Srivastava’s hits are Baghban, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie gham, Chalte Chalte and so on. His recent release was Welcome Back.

World Shortest Man Chandra Bahadur Dangi Passed Away

5.9.2015: Chandra Bahadur Dangi who holds the record of shortest man in the world passed away at the age of 75.  He entered Guinness world records three years ago.  Chandra Bahadur is from Nepal and he is only one fee and nine inches tall.  He even travelled to London to meet the world tallest man sultan Kosen who is eight feet and two inches long.

Bodh Gaya Being Developed as Spiritual Capital

5.9.2015: Narendra Modi led government is going to develop Bodh Gaya as spiritual capital of the country.  He described Bodh Gaya as the land of enlightenment.  It will serve as civilization bond between the Buddhist world and out country, he added.
