4.9.2015: Vinod Dasari is appointed as the president of the society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers.  He is presently the managing director of Ashok Leyland. Arvind Saxena is appointed the vice president of society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers. Along with him Kenichi Ayukawa of Maruti Suzuki is appointed the Treasurer of SIAM, Kenichi is the MD and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India.

Maravan Atapattu Resigned as Head Coach of Sri Lanka Cricket Team

4.9.2015: Maravan Atapattu submitted his resignation as the head coach of Sri Lanka cricket team.  Sri Lanka team a test series to India.  Taking responsibility for this, Atapattu submitted his resignation which was accepted by Sri Lanka Cricket Board.  He became the full time coach of the team in 2014.

Kerala Cricket Association to Name Stadium after Sachin Tendulkar

4.9.2015: Kerala Cricket Association decided to name a stadium after cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.  The new stadium that is going to be named after the cricketer is build by the association in Wayanad.  The stadium has mountains on the three sides and is one of the most scenic stadiums.  Kerala is going to set up state of the art cricket grounds in 14 districts of Kerala, it is said.

Bastar District in Chhattisgarh Won Literacy Award

4.9.2015: Bastar district, the naxal hit district in Chhattisgarh is news for different reasons.  The district achieved a great feat in the field of literacy.  It won a national award which is going to be presented on international literacy day by president of India Pranab Mukherjee.  Giraud Village Panchayat in Raipur also won the award.  Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh said this is an honor to the village and also appreciated the people of Bastar for contribution in literacy mission.

India Launched Indian Wind Resource Atlas online GIS Tool

4.9.2015: Union government of India launched Indian Wind Resource Atlas at 100 meter level.   This is an online Geographic Information Took that helps identify regional and local wind energy potential in the country.  Apart from this also helps the authorities to deal with issues like transmission, grade frequency and tariff fixation.
