14.07.2015: The youngest Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala celebrated her 18th birthday in Lebanon.  She was shot in head in Pakistan by Taliban militants in 2012.  She was supporting the right of education for girls.  She was honored with Nobel peace prize in 2014.

Vivek Agnihotri’s Film Wins Best Original Screenplay Award in Madrid Film Festival

14.07.2015: Buddha in a Traffic Jam, this is the movie directed by Vivek Agnihotri. The movie is a political satire and it won the Best Original Screenplay award in foreign language category at Madrid International Film Festival 2015.

Four Scientists of JNMS College Win William Harvey Award 2015

14.07.2015: four scientists of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University won William Harvey Award for 2015 in Hematology. The four scientists are Saeedul Hasan, Arif Kafeel Akhtar, Shagufta Qadri and Suhailur Rahman.

Paes, Hingis win Mixed Double Wimbledon Title 2015

13.07.2015: Indo-Swiss pair Leander Paes and Martina Hingis wont Wimbledon Mixed Doubles Title 2015.  They pair defeated Alexander Peya and Timea Babos in the finals.  They won the match by 6-1, 6-1. This is the second mixed double title for the pair as they have already won the Australian open also in February this year.  This is eighth mixed double title for Paes and the 16th grand slam trophy.  We already know that Hingis, Sania pair won the women’s double title also.

Longest Road Tunnel in India Inaugurated

13.07.2015: Longest Road Tunnel of India is inaugurated by road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari in Udhampur. This new road will cut Jammu to Srinagar distance by around 30 kms. The road tunnel is named Patnitop tunnel.  The tunnel will be open for traffic in this month itself.  The length of the tunnel is 9.2 kilometers.

Godavari Pushkaralu to Begin Tomorrow in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

13.07.2015: The 12 day long Godavari pushkaralu are going to begin tomorrow.  This is celebrated in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.  Kumbh Mela is going to begin tomorrow in Nashik tomorrow. The first Shahi Snan is scheduled on August 29th in Kumbhamela.
