07.06.2015: Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu’s audio tapes were released by Telangana government which are related to Note for Vote case in which Revanth Reddy is also arrested. The tapes contained the voices of Stephenson and other voice which is said to be the voice of AP Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. The tapes were leaked when the Telangana government is celebrating the anniversary of Telangana formation. .

Serena Williams won French Open 2015 Women’s Singles Title

07.06.2015: Top seed Serena Williams of America won the French Open 2015 Women’s Singles Title. This is her 20th grand slam title. She defeated Czech Lucie Safarova in the final match of French open by 6-3, 6-7 and 6-2. Serena Williams presently holds world no. 1 rank.

Sundaram Ravi, Indian Umpire inducted in ICC Elite Panel of Umpires

07.06.2015: International Cricket Council inducted Indian Umpire Sundaram Ravi in Elite Panel of Umpires. This is after 11 years that an Indian umpire made it to the panel after S Venkataraghavan. Ravi made his debut with a one day international in 2011 and umpired six test matches, 24 ODIs and 12 T20 matches till now. Other umpires in the panel are Kumar Dharmasena, Aleem Dar, Chris Gaffaney, Richard Illingworth, Paul Reiffel and Bruce Oxenford.

Two Bus Services Flagged Off Between India and Bangladesh

07.06.2015: Two bus services that will connect West Bengal. Assam, Tripura and Meghalaya with Bangladesh capital Delhi were flagged off. The services were launched by prime minister Narendra Modi. Tripura government and West Bengal governments will run as bus service each in Kolkata, Dhaka, Agartala; Dhaka – Shillong, Guwahati routes and Bangladesh government will run Dhaka, Shillong, Guwahati bus service. These services will be beneficial for people of north eastern states that share boundaries with Bangladesh.

First Elephant Hospital Set up in Kerala

07.06.2015: Kerala government is going to set up first elephant hospital in the state. This is the first of its kind in India. The hospital which is going to be set up with a cost of Rs. 10 crore will be set up on five acre plot in Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University.
