Yamaha launched Fascino Scooter for Rs. 52500 only – Honda Activa, Hero Maestro and TVS Jupiter in trouble

Yamaha Motorcycles and Scooters India has bagged a big success in the form of Ray Z recently and the manufacturer is having major share in the overall scooter market in India currently. In order to strengthen its portfolio in 110 CC Scooter segment, Yamaha has now launched the exclusive ‘Fascino’ scooter for a starting price of Rs. 52500 only.

Mr. Roy Kurian, Vice President for Sales & Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales has stated in connection with the launch of new Fascino scooter “India has the world’s largest two wheeler market with a total annual demand of approximately 16 million units. Out of the total demand, the scooter segment constitutes 27 % of the market, and is growing further year by year. Since 2012, Yamaha Motor has been introducing arrange of scooters – including RAY, RAY Z and Alpha – and has been increasing its customer base in the Indian market. The new Fascino is intended to further expand sales in the scooter category, which is expected to grow fuether, especially among the youth who have a keen interest in current fashion and trends.”

Fascino measures around 1185 mm of length, 675 mm of width and 1120mm of height respectively and the kerb weight of the scooter is around 103 kilograms only. The manufacturer is offering the new scooter in five vivid colour options and they are Cool cobalt, haute white, rouge red, sassy cyan and tuxedo black respectively. Fascino comes powered with a 113 CC four stroke single cylinder engine with air cooling system that can churn out around 7 bhp power at the peak along with 8.1 Nm of torque. As per the information, Yamaha has developed the engine using Blue core technology and thus it is capable of delivering around 66 kmpl mileage on an average. Engine comes mated to Continuously Variable Transmission gear box. Yamaha India is offering the new Fascino scooter for just Rs. 52500 in order to bear rival models such as TVS Jupiter, Honda Activa and Hero Maestro etc.
