02.05.2015: Surender Singh, senior IPS officer is appointed as the new chief of Central paramilitary force. He is from 1980 batch West Bengal cadre and will take his new charge soon. His appointment is confirmed by Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.

CNR Rao, Eminent Scientist Awarded the Highest Civilian Award of Japan

02.05.2015: Eminent Scientist CNR Rao is conferred The Order of The Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star, the highest civilian award of Japan. Emperor of Japan will confer the award to Mr. CNR Rao. He published more than 1600 research papers. He won many civilian awards from many countries. Total of Four Indians are going to receive Spring Imperial Decorations of Japan 2015 along with other foreign recipients.

G Satheesh Reddy Conferred the Prestigious Fellowship of Royal Institute of Navigation

02.05.2015: DRDO scientist, G Satheesh Reddy became the first Indian to be conferred the Prestigious Fellowship of Royal Institute of Navigation. He played a crucial role in Agni 5 programme. He got recognition for his work in inertial and Satellite based navigation.

Indira Gandhi International Airport is the World’s Best Airport 2014

02.05.2015: Indira Gandhi International Airport is chosen as the World’s best airport for the year 2014 in the 25 – 40 million passenger category. The award was presented to IGIA at Jordan and was given by As Airports Council International. Delhi airport scored 4.9 pointed out of five points.

Microsoft going to Introduce New Browser Edge

02.05.2015: Microsoft is going to replace Internet Explorer with a new browser named Edge. Edge is lighter and faster and will come with many new features like distraction free reading mode, built in notation tool and so on. Internet Explorer was launched in 1995.

FIR Filed against Snapdeal by Maharashtra

02.05.2015: Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration filed FIR against Snapdeal for selling prescription drugs online. Few drugs cannot be sold without prescription as per Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940. FDA announced that it will investigate other online shopping sited Amazon and Flipkart also.
