25.05.2015: Saurabh Kumar is appointed as the new ambassador for Iran. He is an IFS officer of 1989 batch. He is presently working as the joint secretary in National Security Council Secretariat. He will take up the new responsibility very soon, it is informed.

Sunil D’Souza is the New Managing Director of Whirlpool India

25.02.2015: Whirlpool Indi appointed Sunil D’Souza as the new Managing Director. The consumer appliances maker announced this and informed that D’Souza will be the MD of India operations. D’Souza was with PepsiCo for fifteen long years in various positions in Vietnam, India, Malaysia and Philippines.

Tanishq Abhraham Graduates from California College at 11 years of Age

25.02.2015: Tanishq Abhraham, aged 11 years graduated from California school in three affiliate levels in international language research, science and mathematics. He is the youngest to graduate from this school this year. It is also assumed that he is all time youngest to graduate from this school.

ICICI Voice Recognition Technology Launched

25.05.2015: ICICI bank launched voice recognition technology for banking transactions. The customers can now use their voice and will not need to enter their PIN or car d number. This service will be made available for the bank customers for the first time and will be available for 33 million customers of ICICI savings bank. Customers voice will be the password for transactions. Individual customers’ voice print will be stored by the bank against is account and when he calls from the registered mobile number, it will be matched.

J Jayalalitha, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister announced Welfare Schemes

25.05.2015: Immediately after taking oath as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalitha announced Rs. 1800 core worth welfare schemes that include drinking water facilities, roads and so on. Amma canteens that provide food on subsidized rates were also opened through video conferencing under one of these schemes. Rs. 1000 crore are allotted for improvement of roads in urban local bodies. The poor will get Rs. 2.10 lakh to convert thatched houses into concreted roofed structures.
