Hero has used nut and bolt joints instead of welded joints for the new rickshaw in order to prevent breakage and rust. The manufacturer has also used thicker materials for making chassis and thus Raahii is more reliable than many other rickshaws in the market. Hero has powered the e-rickshaw with a 1000W electric motor having 50 HZ frequency and 220 V voltage range. The respective engine is mated to 100 AH battery. Some of the significant features of the model are LED lights for driver and passenger, HPF charger with high resistance to voltage fluctuations, USB mobile charger and etc. Hero has priced the new ‘Raahii’ electric rickshaw for just Rs. 1.10 lakhs only.
