Triumph 800 Tiger XRx and XCx launched in India – ABS with switchable drive modes and Traction Control offered

Premium bike making giant Triumph Motorcycles has stepped into the Indian market recently in order to seize an opportunity for getting a breakthrough in one of the largest and emerging automotive markets in the world. The manufacturer has launched the brand new 2015 Tiger XRx and XCx in India without much buzz.

The brand new 2015 Tiger series bikes are very unique in looks and they are equipped with some of the best in class features as well. The base structure of both the variants of the Tiger two wheelers is almost the same. The manufacturer has followed security standards and has used premium quality materials for making the new Tiger XRx and XCx. XCx comes equipped with a 21 inch exclusive wheel on the front whereas the rear end gets a 17 inch wheel. Triumph has fitted a 19 inch wheel on the front end of Tiger XRx and the rear end gets a 17 inch wheel.

Both the variants of the new Tiger come powered with the same 800 CC three cylinder engine that is capable of generating around 95 PS power at the peak along with 79 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a six speed manual transmission gear box by default and it is common for both XRx and XCx. Tiger variants comes with three unique driving modes and they are ROAD, OFF – ROAD and Custom respectively. Triumph has used aluminium metal for making majority of the body parts such as radiator guard, centre stand, sump guard and hand guards etc.

Triumph is offering advanced safety features such as Traction Control system and Anti Lock Braking System with distinct driving modes with both the variants of 2015 Tiger two wheeler. The manufacturer is likely to import both these variants into the Indian market via Completely Built Units route and thus price tags are going to be a bit heavy. Triumph is offering the new Tiger XRx for Rs. 11.6 lakhs and Tiger XCx for Rs. 12.7 lakhs in India.
