Spice Android One

Google introduced the Android One program with the intention of being in charge of beaming software updates to handsets offered by manufacturers willing to play the game by its rules. So the smart phone makers involved in it has to do only one thing and that is to handle production.  Any maker who signs up for Android One will be given certain standard hardware specifications it must include in the phones. Moreover, the OS board is supposed to be kept untouched, enabling Google to have better control over its mobile OS ecosystem.

Buyers thought this meant quicker upgrades to the latest versions of Android but they left disappointed finally. Now Spice claims to be first brand in pleasing its customers with updates of latest Android v5.1 Lollipop OS. Spice CEO Prashant Bindal announces that upcoming update means users can look forward to improvements in system stability, the interface, battery consumption and RAM management. Smarter notifications, a fix for crashing apps and a better OK Google function are also on the menu.

Spice would be the first smart phone company in India to launch Android Lollipop 5.1 for an Android One smart phone. Although Micromax and Karbonn signed up too, but they are keeping mum with regard to updates to their Canvas A1 and Sparkle V series smart phones respectively.
