Ashwin Mittal is the new CFO of Walmart India

7.3.2015: Walmart India appointed Ashwin Mittal as the new Chief Executive Officer. Mittal will replace Jill Anderson is going back to Walmart US. Ashwin Mittal has an experience of 25 years of CA experience and he worked for many multinational companies and also Yum Restaurants. He joined Walmart as Financial Planning head in 2007 and since then he continued in different roles in the company.

G Karthikeyan, Kerala Assembly Speaker Died of Liver Cancer

8.3.2015: Kerala Assembly speaker, G Karthikeyan passed away at the age of 66. He was undergoing treatment for liver cancer in Bangalore. He was 66. Karthikeyan was born in Kerala in the year 1949. He was elected for Kerala State Assembly for six times from different constituencies. He served as power minister and Food and Civil supplied minister also. He was elected as speaker of Kerala assembly in 2011.

Flipkart Took Over Mobile Ad Networking Company AdlQuity

7.3.2015: Online e-commerce site Flipkart took over AdlQuity mobile ad networking organization. The value of the deal is not revealed. AdlQuity started technology services in 2006 and raised 15 million dollar funds recently for expansion of its business. Presently the company is providing its services to 250 crore customers in 200 countries.

Saina Nehwal Became the First Indian Player to Reach All England Badminton Finals

7.3.2015: Indian badminton star Saina Nehwal created another record. She became the first Indian woman to reach the finals of All England Badminton Series Women’s singles. She defeated China player Sun Yu in semi final match with 21-13, 21-13 and stormed into the finals. Saina ended the quarter final match against another Chinese player in just 39 minutes.

NRDC, CCRAS to Commercialize Ayurvedic Medicines: Signed Memorandum of Agreement

7.3.2015: National Research Development Corporation NRDC and Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences signed a MoA for commercializing ayurvedic medicines that are developed by CCRAC. The agreement was signed by MD of NRDC and Director General of CCRAS. NRDC helped CCRAS to ear substantial revenue by transferring technologies developed by CCRAS to other entrepreneurs.

Citizenship Bill 2015 Passed in Rajya Sabha

7.3.2015: Amendment bill of Citizenship is passed in Rajya Sabha by voice Vote. The bill is already passed in Lok Sabha. The bill will become an act after it is signed by President of India. The bill will be considered come into force from January 6.
