10.3.2015: Simone Gbagbo, wife of former Ivory Coast president Laurent Gbagbo is sentenced to 20 year imprisonment. She was nicknamed iron lady and was arrested on charges of undermining the security of the state during president elections in 2010. More than 3000 people died in the violence.

P Barve, Indian-American to Run for US Congress 2016 Elections

10.3.2015: Indian American P Barve decided to run for US congress 2016 elections. He belongs to Democratic Party. If elected he will the second Indian American in US Congress. Ami Bera from California is presently the only Indian American in US congress. P Barve was first elected to state legislature of United States in 1990. He is presently serving as Chairman of House Environment and Transportation Committee.

Ashok Bhasin is the New Sales Head of Hero Moto

10.3.2015: Ashok Bhasin is appointed the new sales head of Hero Moto. This was announced by the company vice chairman Pavan Munjal. He will also supervise the marketing and customer care divisions. Ashok Bhasin has international exposure and it is believed that his experience will increase the sales of the company.

Sadashivrao Dadoba Mandik Passed Away

10.3.2015: Nationalist Congress Party leader and member of 15th Lok Sabha representing Kolhapur constituency Sadashivrao Dadoba Mandik passed away at the age of 83. He was also the member of 12th, 13th and 14th Lok Sabha. He served as Maharashtra education and irrigation minister in 1993.

India Beat Ireland at World Cup 2015

10.3.2015: India defeated Ireland by 8 wickets in a league match played as part of World Cup tourney 2015. This is the successive fifth victor for India in the present mega event. Sikhar Dhawan hit a century and is awarded man of the match. India is already qualified for quarter finals and Ireland still has a chance to reach quarter finals as it has another match to play with Pakistan.

Kerala Tourism wins Golden Gate Silver Prize Award

10.3.2015: Golden Gate Award is the ultimate recognition in global tourism and is given away at ITB, Berlin. Kerala tourism won the silver prize of Golden Gate Award. The award was won for its campaign to develop backwaters of Kerala at International Tourismus-Borse Berling 2015 held in Germany.
