UPSC released the results of Engineering Services examination 2014. 589 candidates qualified in the examination, it is announced. Engineering Services examination 2014 written exam was held in June, 2014 and interview were held for qualified candidates in January-February this year.

New Delhi: UPSC informed that there are total of 667 vacant posts. In the Engineering Services examination 2014, 287 candidates qualified in general category, 173 candidates in OBC category, 85 in SC category and 344 in ST category. Any information related to the exam can be obtained from the helpline center set up in their office premises between 10 am and 5 pm. They can also make a call on 011-23385271 or 011-23381125. These results are now available in UPSC official website www.upsc.gov.in. Mark sheet f the examination will be made available fifteen days after the results are announced. The notification for UPSC engineering services exam 2014 was released to fill 582 vacancies in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical engineering departments. There are also 24 physically handicapped vacancies. Reservations for the above said posts are as per the rules of government of India.

Results of Engineering Services exam 2014 are announced after a very long wait. The candidates can check their results at the official website of UPSC. To check the results the candidates should access the link. Required fields have to be filled by the candidates in the space provided and then click submit. The results page will be displayed. The result can be downloaded also. The results are not sent directly to the candidates but only are hosted online. Thus they need to secure the copies of the result till the end of recruitment process.

A total of 1717 candidates were shortlisted based on the performance of in written examination. These were called for interview / personality test and finally 589 candidates are now declared successful.

Engineering service exam is conducted by UPSC for selecting eligible candidates for Indian engineering services. This is the most sought after exam for engineering graduates in India. This is the four stage exam that comprises six tests.
