Bajaj launched Platina ES with Electric Start for Rs. 45431 – Tackles Honda Dream, Hero Passion Pro and TVS Star City+

The native Indian automotive giant Bajaj Auto has launched a new edition of the Platina commuter bike with a bang. The former edition of the bike is among some of the most sold two wheelers in the Indian automotive history and the manufacturer is expecting a homerun with the latest addition. The new Bajaj Platina ES has been priced for Rs. 45431 only and it is claimed to be the most fuel efficient commuter in the market currently.

Mr. Eric Vas, the President for Motorcycle Business Division, Bajaj Auto Ltd. has stated in connection with the launch of new edition of Platina “The original Bajaj Platina has always been known for its great mileage and reliability. It is one of the most successful bike models with more than 50 lakh bikes on road. It is seen as a low maintenance and a good resale value motorcycle that has built its reputation through customer’s word of mouth. The new Platina now takes mileage to an unbeatable level of 96.9 kmpl”. The new edition of the commuter comes with a wide number of changes to the design and the engine has also received few tweaks.

Bajaj Platina ES

Anew head light has been fitted on the new Platina ES along with a new set of side panels. The exclusive body graphics has added much elegance to the vehicle along with the five spoke alloy wheels. The length of the seat is pretty impressive and the new exhaust pipe is also nice. The new Platina comes powered with a 102 CC single cylinder DTS-i engine with ExhausTEC which is capable of churning out around 8.2 PS power at the peak along with 8.6 Nm of torque. Engine comes mated to a four speed manual gear box and the manufacturer has claimed that the new Platina is capable of delivering around 96.9 kmpl mileage on an average. Bajaj is offering Platina ES in three new paint shades and it also sports electric start function along with kick start.
