Comparison of Asus Zenfone 2, Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6

Asus announced Zenfone 2 smartphone at CES 2015. Other phones that were launched in Zenfone series in 2014 were Zenfone 6 and Zenfone 5. Asus claims that more than fifteen million are using Zenfones across the world. Here is the comparison of all the three smartphones in Zenfone series.

Ahmadabad: Zenfone 2 comes with 5.5 inch display and the display sizes of Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6 are 5 inches and 6 inches respectively. Display resolution of Zenfone 2 smartphone is 1080 x 1920 and the other phones come with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. Display type of all the screens is IPS LCD and the pixel density is 401 ppi, 294 ppi and 245 ppi.

Zenfone 2 is powered by 1.8 GHz quad core Intel processor and PowerVR G6430 graphic card. The other two smartphones come with 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2560 processors and PowerVR SGX 544 MP2 graphic card. RAM for all the three handsets is 2 GB. Zenfone 2 and Zenfone 6 are provided with 16 GB internal storage. Zenfone 5 has inbuilt storage of 8 GB. All the Zenfone handsets support micro SD for expansion of memory up to 64 GB. Zenfone 6 is offered with 8/16 and 32 GB storage models and Zenfone 5 is available in 8 and 18 GB variants. Zenfone 2 is also offered with 16/32 and 64 GB storage options.

Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6 runs on Android 4.3 Jelly bean operating system and these are dual SIM smartphones. Zenfone 2 comes out of the box with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. This also supports dual SIM. Connectivity features of these smartphones are GPRS, EDGE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB connectivity.

Coming to the camera specifications, Zenfone 2 and Zenfone 6 come equipped with 13 megapixel autofocus cameras. Zenfone 5 features 8 megapixel autofocus camera. Zenfone 2 has 5 megapixel front facing camera and the other two smartphones have 2 megapixel front facing camera on board. Camera features are digital zoom, face detection, geo tagging.

Zenfone 2 comes with 3000 mAh Li-po non removable battery under the hood. Asus Zenfone 5 has 2110 mAh Li-Po non removable battery under the hood and it gives up to 18.5 hours talk time on 3G. Zenfone 6 comes packed with 3300 mAh non removable battery that gives up to 28 hours of talk time on 2G. Other features are 3.5 mm and loudspeaker.
