Uttar Pradesh: UP Police Constable Main examination was conducted on 14th December 2014. This examination was conducted by Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board. Before conducting this examination board had conducted Pre- Examination as well as Physical Efficiency Test. Mains is the last examination in the recruitment process of the UP Police. All the candidates who had written this examination are waiting for the results as well as for the cut off marks. Here we were providing expected cut-off marks for this examination.

  • Overall cut-off marks for the General Category candidates is 282
  • Overall cut-off marks for the OBC Category candidates is 268
  • Overall cut-off marks for the SC/ST Category candidates is 252
  • Minimum marks to be attained in this examination is 105

Candidates who will be shortlisted in this examination need to appear for the medical examination. Along with the medical examination it is also essential to undergone the process of document verification. Cut-off marks will be prepared based on the Physical Efficiency Test i.e. PET along with the Main examination performance.

For this examination Candidates had prepared for General Awareness, Mental Ability, Reasoning, and Comprehension. Marks allotted to General Awareness section are 100. Marks allotted to Mental Ability section is 75. Marks allotted to Reasoning section are 75. Marks allotted to Comprehension section is 50.

This is the minimum educational standard level of examination. Minimum marks to be obtained by the candidates in this examination are 35%. Only overall cut-off marks will be considered but there will be no section wise cut-off marks. This examination was conducted for 300 marks.

For this examination candidates had prepared for 4 different sections. Out of which candidates had prepared several topics such as Relations between India and its Neighbouring Countries, Internal Security and Terrorism, Indian Society, Logical Interpretation of Data, Common Sense Test, Abilities to deal with abstract ideas, space visualisation, Logical Diagrams, Letters and number series etc
